Terra Cotta Warriors and horses

The Terra cotta warriors has been called the “eighth wonder of the world”. They are the largest pottery figurine group ever unearthed in China.

| In the early spring of 1974, the terra cotta warriors were cidentally discovered by Chinese peasants while digging a well. Some 8,000 life-sized warriors with their individual features and facial expressions, line up in battle-readiness monstrate a powerful military array under the rule of the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty, 2,200 years ago. An unearthed bronze horse-driven chariot is the largest bronze ware ever found in the world. |
