Square which is the largest downtown square in the world. It is a conglomeration of splendid

wind.Tian’anmen Square is
recognizable instantly by the huge portrait of Mao Zedong hanging on and it
covers an area of 44 hectares, big enough to hold one million people. Now
Tiananmen Square is one of the most famous and popular places in China. It is
the place for celebrations on festive days and it had completed its renovation
to welcome the 50th anniversary of China in 1999.
Then move on to the Imperial
Palace. also known as the "Forbidden City"-the largest and most
well preserved ancient imperial residence in China today. It is also
one of the five
world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace
in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia. The Forbidden City was the Chinese Imperial palace from the
mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Twenty-four emperors of the
Ming and Qing dynasties ruled from the Forbidden City. It is to the north of
Tian'anmen Square. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest
palace complex and covers 74 hectares. It was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and
renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates
from the 1700's and onwards. The visit to Tian;anmen Square and forbidden City

Day 2 Beijing Lunch
Pick you up from hotel on
departure time (around 08:00), and then drive to the Badaling
Great Wall (about 1.5
hours). The astonishing Great
Wall of China is the only man-made structure on the earth that can be observed
by the naked eyes from the moon. A Chinese saying goes that He who has
never been to the Great Wall is not a true man. If we laid the bricks and
rocks used in the Great Wall of Ming to form a wall one meter (1.1 yard) wide
and five meters (16.4 feet) high, it could circle the earth at the equator with
great ease. And The Badaling
Great Wall, constructed in 1502 (during the Ming Dynasty), once served as a
crucial military fortification, and is now the most impressive and
representative section of the striking Great
Wall. The Great Wall of China
is one of the greatest wonders of the world. It winds its way westward over the
vast territory of China from the bank of the Yalu River and ends at the foot of
snow-covered Qilianshan and Tianshan mountains. It is seldom that we see such a
gigantic project in China or elsewhere in the world. Badaling Section is situated at the very top of the
mountain to the north of Guangou Valley. There is a narrow path leading to the
top of the two precipitous mountains. The Badaling Great wall is built in
between two mountains and was constructed to be a communications center. North
of Badaling, you can travel to Kangzhuang, Huailai, datong and Zhangjiakou; to
the east, you can reach Yongning, Sihai and Miyun; to the south you can go to
Beijing city proper via Changping, Since the traffic is nice, so it is called
Badaling (Eight Prominent Peaks). Badaling section were listed as
important historical monuments under special preservation by the Chinese
government in 1961. The Great Wall was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the
world heritages. On the way to Badaling Great
Wall you will visit a Jade or cloisonne workshop (40 minutes) and the hiking on Great Wall is about 2 – 3 hours. Then have Chinese style
lunch in a local restaurant and take a short rest.
After that, on the way back
from Badaling Great Wall. You will visit Ming
Tombs. We combine Great
Wall and Ming Tombs into one line, thus make you can see two great
wonders in one day. Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming
emperors. So it is also called Thirteen Ming
Tombs. Construction of the first tomb, Changling, was started in 1409 and
completed in 1427. Ming
Tombs cover 40 square kilometers. Each tomb was built alongside a mountain, and
a river runs through the whole area. They are the best-preserved part of all
Chinese imperial tombs.
After the tour, you will be
transferred back to hotel around
17:00.
